One does hate to be the Jurgen Klopp and his startling trivago teeth in this conversation, but I will though! I got a 20% discount on the tree fiddy. If it helps, I can take your washing in or something Martin.
Well, it’s not so much me - I’m getting it all for free cos I’m saying it - but I’m anxious my acolytes don’t have to pay too much. So maybe you could take their washing in. But your experience may be valuable. Thanks!
I loved the talk about David Gates, who seems pretty much forgotten nowadays. Check out his Clouds Suite, Kenny Everett used to play it every other week on his Capital Radio show.
When I click it’s says it’s six quid or forty nine British Bucks for the year .
Maybe Martin should look into Patreon . Keep doing his frequent free ones to get a bigger following then introduce tiers on the website .
Maybe Top Tier could be a once a month “how old Cary Grant “ for those who spend the big bucks . His book would be a fine prize if there is a lot of interest in the top tier .
I really cannot figure out Substack’s pricing policy. Andrew Ellis, another of the magnificent 12 or 13 says he is definitely paying £3.50. Search me. Thanks for your input though. Appreciated
That’s good to know Russell. It seems some of our paying customers are getting the nice-face discount (Seinfeld reference). My advice to potential new investors is; try and upgrade from free & go ahead if it looks like cup-of-coffee prices. I can’t work the bloody thing out.

I wasn’t familiar with the track. My friend Watko drew my attention to it.
My Substack subscription is definitely £3.50.

Maybe it’s to do with upgrading from free.
Oh btw, I’m paying £3.50 too Martin.

Love the reference to California Suite. One of the best films ever, imho.
